Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a greenfield agreement to develop a new Gateway Hotel Gurugram in Sector-83, Gurugram, further strengthening its hospitality presence in one of India’s fastest-growing commercial and residential corridors.
The upcoming hotel will add 220 rooms to IHCL’s portfolio and is being designed to serve both business and leisure travellers across the National Capital Region (NCR). The property will feature a range of dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, and a bar. Guests will also have access to modern recreational amenities such as a swimming pool and a fully equipped gymnasium. In addition, the hotel will include a 7,000 sq. ft. banquet and events space, making it suitable for conferences, corporate meetings, weddings, and social gatherings. With this signing, IHCL’s portfolio in Haryana will expand to 15 hotels, including six currently under development.
Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh said that Gurugram continues to emerge as a major commercial hub within NCR, driven by consistent growth in corporate, financial services, and IT/ITeS sectors. She noted that the project’s location in the evolving New Gurugram micro-market will help meet the rising demand for branded full-service hospitality offerings. She also expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Vijay Gupta and Amit Gupta for the development of the project.
