Hospitality & Industry Boom: Nagpur Bags ₹6,100 Crore in MoUs

As part of a significant investment initiative, government officials and industry leaders have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 6,100 crore for various hospitality and industrial projects in Nagpur.

The MoU signing event saw participation from over 150 companies, spanning small to large-scale investments across diverse sectors in the district.

A key highlight of the agreements is the commitment from three luxury hotel brands—Taj Gateway, Hilton, and Hyatt—to invest a total of Rs 875 crore in Nagpur’s hospitality sector. Specifically, Taj Gateway will receive Rs 400 crore, Hyatt Rs 300 crore, and Hilton Rs 175 crore. These investments aim to enhance the city’s hospitality infrastructure, catering to its growing business and tourism needs.

Notably, the agreement for Taj Gateway is separate from an earlier MoU signed by Indian Hotels Limited, a Tata Group company, for the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai.

Additionally, four more hotel proposals from different companies have been submitted, reflecting sustained interest in expanding Nagpur’s premium accommodation facilities.
