Fresh Squeeze: Lemon Tree Signs New Property in Kumbakonam

Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a new hotel property in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, further strengthening its presence in South India’s heritage and tourism-focused markets.

The upcoming property will be operated by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, supporting the group’s integrated hospitality management strategy. Branded as Lemon Tree Hotel, Kumbakonam, the hotel will feature 66 well-appointed rooms designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The property will offer a range of amenities, including a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities, a swimming pool, a spa, and a fitness centre. Kumbakonam, recognised for its cultural, religious, and historical significance, continues to attract a steady flow of pilgrims, tourists, and corporate visitors.

With this addition, Lemon Tree Hotels has expanded its portfolio in Tamil Nadu to eight operational and upcoming properties. The development aligns with the company’s broader expansion strategy focused on high-potential heritage destinations, tourism hubs, and emerging business centres across India.
