Chalet Hotels (CHL) has entered the Udaipur market with the acquisition of Seasons Hotels, which owns the “Inder Residency Resort & Spa Udaipur,” in a deal valued at ₹171 crore.
Spread across 8.2 acres, the property features 144 rooms along with extensive lawns and banqueting facilities, making it well-suited for weddings, meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), as well as leisure travel. The acquisition aligns with CHL’s strategy of expanding in high-growth leisure destinations.
The company plans to reposition the asset as an upper-upscale lifestyle destination through significant upgrades. During this refurbishment phase, the property will remain non-operational. CHL is also evaluating the potential to expand the property by adding more rooms.
This move reflects CHL’s focus on long-term value creation through premium positioning and asset enhancement, strengthening its presence in India’s luxury hospitality segment while targeting growth in key leisure markets like Udaipur.
