The Andhra Pradesh government has greenlit customized financial incentives and subsidies for Patanjali Ayurved Limited to set up a ₹370-crore Food and Herbal Park in Chinnaraopalli village, Vizianagaram district. Acting on Cabinet approval via GO No. 131, the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) will hand over 70 acres of land for the venture.
Approved by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) under the AP Food Processing Policy 2024-29, the customized incentive package is valued at up to ₹131.41 crore. This includes capital subsidies, power cost reimbursements, and electricity duty benefits, to be distributed over five years post-commercial production. The initiative revives a stalled 2019 proposal and is projected to create over 2,000 direct jobs while boosting North Coastal Andhra’s agro-processing sector. Patanjali intends to manufacture over 500 food, Ayurvedic, and herbal products utilizing locally sourced millets, pulses, and spices, thereby expanding market avenues for regional farmers.
