A consortium comprising Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon (DRA Infracon) and German engineering giant Siemens has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The contract, awarded under Package No. MAHSR-S-1, involves the supply of signalling and telecommunication systems.
The consortium will undertake the complete design, manufacturing, supply, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of the signalling and train control system, telecommunication network, and operation control centre. The total contract value stands at ₹4,140.06 crore.
NHSRCL invited bids for this package in January 2025, with a project timeline of seven years. Technical bids were opened on 30 April 2025, with two firms participating. Following technical evaluation on 14 May, financial bids were opened on 15 May and evaluated on 9 June. The DRA Infracon–Siemens joint venture emerged as the successful bidder and was subsequently issued the LoA.
