Powering Up: Techno Electric Aims for ₹2,500 Crore Annual Orders

Techno Electric & Engineering Company is targeting an annual order inflow of approximately ₹2,500 crore from the power transmission EPC segment over the next four years, driven by a robust project pipeline and expanding technological scope.

Speaking at the Q1 FY26 investor conference, Chairman P.P. Gupta highlighted a bidding pipeline of ₹40,000 crore per year, with the company aiming to capture a significant share. He noted that the EPC sector is evolving rapidly with the adoption of high-end technologies such as 765kV AIS and GIS substations, HVDC systems, STATCOM, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)—offering promising high-margin opportunities.

Techno is currently executing 765/400kV substations at Sikar and Dausa in Rajasthan and successfully commissioned 17 substations in Q1 FY26. The company plans to complete an additional 20 this fiscal, including four GIS substations in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

As of June 30, 2025, Techno's total order book stood at ₹10,408 crore, with ₹7,120 crore from EPC contracts. In addition, the company holds two interstate transmission system (ISTS) concessions and is deploying 2.25 million smart meters under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
