Adani Power has secured a second Letter of Award (LoA) from MP Power Management Company Ltd. (MPPMCL) to supply 800 MW of electricity from a planned ultra-supercritical thermal power project in Anuppur district, Madhya Pradesh.
Developed under the Design, Build, Finance, Own, and Operate (DBFOO) model, the project will use coal allocated through the SHAKTI Policy, with fuel linkage facilitated by MPPMCL. This award falls under the greenshoe option, doubling Adani Power’s total contracted capacity with the state utility to 1,600 MW, following an earlier LoA secured on 29 August 2025.
The agreement supports Madhya Pradesh’s long-term power procurement strategy aimed at energy security and meeting rising industrial and domestic demand. The project is scheduled for execution within 60 months from the appointed date and reflects the state’s focus on reliable, efficient, and low-emission power generation through ultra-supercritical technology.
