Variant Commercial Bags ₹94 Cr MCL Coal Contract

Variant Commercial has secured a ₹94.21 crore contract from Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) for coal handling, transportation, and related mining services.

Awarded on a percentage quote basis, the contract involves loading and transporting coal from the pithead stocks of the Integrated Belpahar-Lakhanpur-Lilari Open Cast Project (Int LBL OCP) in the Lakhanpur Area to designated delivery points.

This project reinforces Variant Commercial’s expanding role in India’s coal logistics and mining services sector. The scope includes efficient coal evacuation from extraction sites to end-use destinations, supporting critical supply chains for thermal power generation and industrial applications. The execution of this contract is expected to enhance MCL’s logistical efficiency and overall coal output from the Lakhanpur Area.
