Greenzo Energy Powers India's Hydrogen Future

Greenzo Energy, India’s first integrated green hydrogen company, has received a research and development (R&D) order from Engineers India Ltd. (EIL)—a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Awarded through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform, the contract involves the supply, sitework, and mandatory spares for a modular hydrogen electrolyser unit to be installed at EIL’s R&D Complex in Sector-16, Gurugram, Haryana. This order marks a significant step in advancing India’s green hydrogen ecosystem and reflects the government's growing confidence in indigenous technology providers.

The contract positions Greenzo Energy as a key player in delivering scalable, locally developed hydrogen electrolyser solutions. The initiative directly supports the objectives of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to establish India as a global hub for hydrogen production, application, and export.

The project is expected to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen technologies across critical sectors including refining, fertilisers, steel, cement, and other hard-to-abate industries—contributing to India's broader decarbonisation and energy transition goals.
