HTL's Tactical Fiber Optic Cables Selected by Indian Army

HTL, a material subsidiary of HFCL, has secured a contract worth approximately ₹101.82 crore from the Indian Army for the supply of Tactical Optical Fiber Cable (TOFC) systems and related accessories.

The indigenously developed solution is specifically designed for mission-critical military operations. It includes rugged optical fiber cables capable of withstanding the weight and movement of heavy armored vehicles, and is equipped with military-grade connectors to ensure reliable performance in extreme and challenging environments.

The contract is slated for completion by August 2026.

HFCL noted that this order reinforces the objectives of the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative, promoting self-reliance in defense technology. It also further strengthens HTL’s role as a key provider of advanced, secure communication systems to India’s armed forces.
