SPML Infra, a leading Indian water infrastructure company, has secured a ₹385 crore contract for developing a comprehensive water production and supply system in the Kekri-Sarwar Sector (Package-III) of Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Awarded under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the contract includes a 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) component, ensuring long-term efficiency and sustainability of the water infrastructure. The project is a key part of the Kekri Water Supply Scheme, which sources water from the Bisalpur Dam to enhance water availability in the region.
The scope of work includes the construction of a 160 MLD water treatment plant (WTP) at Kekri, designed to meet high-quality water standards. Additional infrastructure includes two clear water reservoirs with a total capacity of 37.75 MLD—20 MLD at the WTP site and 17.75 MLD at the Intermediate Pumping Station (IPS) in Nasirabad.
A 58.675 km MS rising main pipeline will connect the WTP at Kekri to the IPS at Nasirabad, forming a robust water transmission network. The project will also incorporate advanced SCADA systems, modern pumping stations, and integrated electrical and mechanical components, supporting reliable and technology-driven water distribution.
