Uttarakhand’s Big Infra Push: The ₹7,844 Cr Supplementary Budget

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented a ₹7,844.18 crore supplementary budget on the opening day of the Assembly session in Gairsain on October 27, 2026. This brings Uttarakhand’s total budget for FY 2026–27 to ₹1,19,547.39 crore.

The allocation heavily targets capital growth (₹4,164.32 crore) alongside revenue spending (₹3,679.86 crore), with emphasis on roads, power, drinking water, and civic infrastructure. Notable inclusions feature ₹500 crore under the Special Assistance Scheme for Capital Investment (SASCI) and around ₹270 crore for the energy sector (including the Khurpiya Farm initiative). Expanding funds for judicial, police, and Panchayat facilities, the budget opens new avenues for regional civil contractors and vendors.
