Sharika Enterprises Limited has secured a subcontract for the deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) under Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited’s (UPCL) Ganga Corridor power distribution modernisation project.
The project is being implemented under the Government of India’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) through East India Udyog Limited (EIUL), the lead contractor. Covering key urban centres such as Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh, the initiative aims to modernise the region’s electricity distribution network through the implementation of an integrated SCADA-ADMS platform incorporating Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distribution Management System (DMS) and Outage Management System (OMS) functionalities.
The contract marks Sharika Enterprises’ entry into the rapidly expanding SCADA-ADMS segment, which is increasingly being adopted by utilities to support the digital transformation of power distribution infrastructure. Under the project, the company will deploy advanced grid automation and intelligent network management technologies designed to improve operational efficiency, system reliability and network performance.
The integrated platform is expected to provide real-time visibility of distribution networks, enable faster fault identification and restoration, enhance outage management capabilities and improve asset utilisation. The system will also support data-driven decision-making, strengthen grid reliability and contribute to improved power quality for consumers.
The project will be executed in collaboration with East India Udyog Limited and technology partner Spin Engenharia of Brazil, supporting the objectives of the Government of India’s Make in India initiative while promoting the adoption of advanced utility technologies in the power sector.
The award further strengthens Sharika Enterprises’ presence in the utility automation and smart infrastructure market and aligns with its broader strategy of expanding capabilities across smart grids, substation modernisation, digital utility solutions and renewable energy integration projects.
