Securing the Grid: Tata Power’s New ₹351 Cr Renewable Win

Tata Power has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) by SECI to develop a 324 MW / 2,592 MWh Pumped Storage Plant (PSP). The project comes with a 40-year service agreement, unlocking a steady revenue stream estimated at ₹351.3 crore annually (based on a fixed rate of ₹1.0841826 crore per MW per year).

Power supply is scheduled to begin within 36 months of the official contract signing. Once operational, the facility will serve as critical infrastructure for India's power grid—storing excess solar and wind power and discharging it during peak demand hours to ensure seamless renewable energy integration.
