The construction of the 290-meter-long Bajrang Path in Ayodhya is approximately 45% complete, according to the Ayodhya administration. This new corridor is set to directly link Bhakti Path with Ram Janmabhoomi Path, significantly reducing the distance for pilgrims traveling between key religious sites. Once completed, it will offer devotees a more convenient route from the Ram Janmabhoomi complex to Hanuman Garhi Temple.
The seven-meter-wide Bajrang Path will also integrate with Sugriv Path and Rampath, further enhancing Ayodhya’s interconnected network of pilgrimage routes. Despite progress, construction has encountered delays due to ongoing land disputes, leaving about 150 meters of the pathway pending. Officials are actively addressing these issues, with the remaining work expected to be completed within a month after resolution.
Currently, 55% of the project remains unfinished. On an average day, Hanuman Garhi receives nearly 100,000 visitors, while the Ram temple draws between 70,000 and 80,000 devotees.
Ayodhya already features three major pilgrimage routes:
Ram Path, a 13-km stretch from Sahadatganj to Naya Ghat
Ram Janmabhoomi Path, a 2-km route from Sugriv Quila to Ram Mandir
Bhakti Path, an 850-meter link from Shringar Hat to Sri Ram Janmabhoomi
The addition of Bajrang Path is part of broader efforts to upgrade Ayodhya’s infrastructure and enhance the spiritual journey for pilgrims in this sacred city.
