KSITIL Awards ₹187 Crore Contract to IRCON for Rural Industrial Park

Kerala State IT Infrastructure Ltd (KSITIL) has awarded a work order worth Rs 187.08 crore to Ircon International for the development of a Dedicated Rural Industrial Park in Thiruvananthapuram district. The project is a strategic initiative by the Government of Kerala aimed at strengthening rural industrial infrastructure and promoting balanced regional development.

Ircon International, a central public sector enterprise known for its infrastructure expertise, will undertake the construction of the park, which is slated for completion within 30 months. The facility is designed to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups by offering access to modern, technology-enabled infrastructure in a non-urban setting.

This rural industrial hub is part of Kerala’s broader commitment to decentralised, innovation-led growth, with a focus on generating sustainable employment and boosting the rural economy.
