TPL’s Big Leap: 250 TPD Caustic Soda Operations Begin

Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited (TPL) has successfully completed expansion activities at its Heavy Chemicals Division (HCD) plant, with operations at the upgraded facility set to commence on 28 March 2026.

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) has granted Consent to Operate for the expanded caustic soda capacity of 250 tonnes per day (TPD). This approval enables the company to run the facility in compliance with applicable environmental regulations, including air emissions and effluent discharge norms.

With this capacity expansion, TPL aims to enhance its production capabilities and cater to the growing demand for caustic soda, a key industrial chemical.
