EIL Invites Bids for Landmark Ramayapatnam Refinery Project

Engineers India Ltd. (EIL), on behalf of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL), has invited bids for geotechnical investigation works at Ramayapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The investigations are part of BPCL’s plan to set up a large-scale Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex on the East Coast, with a proposed refining capacity of 9 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and ethylene production capacity of 1.5 MTPA. The facility will produce BS-VI grade transportation fuels and a broad spectrum of petrochemical products, including specialty chemicals.

As the project management consultant, EIL will oversee the geotechnical survey phase, which is critical for evaluating subsurface conditions to ensure safe and sustainable construction of the complex.

The tender has been issued under a single-stage, two-bid system, inviting qualified contractors to participate. The last date for bid submission is 28 August 2025.
