Vipul Organics, a prominent player in the pigments and dyes industry, has announced its strategic diversification into membrane manufacturing, addressing the rising demand for advanced solutions in industrial water treatment. The company will set up a state-of-the-art membrane production facility at its greenfield site in Saykha, Gujarat.
The initiative is spearheaded by Dr. Vatsal Shah, a PhD in Membrane Technology from Imperial College London and the son of Managing Director Vipul P Shah. The new unit will operate as an independent entity, with a strong focus on research, innovation, and large-scale production of membranes for applications in water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage processing, and industrial filtration.
Aimed at both domestic and global markets, this expansion aligns with the growing global push for sustainable water management and supports industries transitioning toward circularity and reduced water footprints.
“Membranes represent a natural progression of our commitment to future-ready, sustainable solutions. This move builds on our core strengths in specialty chemicals and experience with zero-liquid discharge technologies. As industries shift toward circularity, membrane technology is a key enabler and central to our vision for responsible growth,” said Vipul P Shah, Managing Director, Vipul Organics.
