HARMAN, a leader in connected automotive technologies and a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has announced an investment of ₹345 crore (USD 42 million) over the next three years to expand its automotive electronics manufacturing facility in Pune.
The expansion begins with an immediate investment of ₹45 crore (USD 5.5 million) and will strengthen HARMAN’s capabilities in telematics, next-generation automotive connectivity, and advanced manufacturing. With this commitment, HARMAN’s total investment in the Pune plant since its establishment in 2014 will reach ₹554 crore (USD 67 million).
The new investment is expected to generate 300 new job opportunities by 2027 and significantly boost the facility’s production capacity, including car audio systems, infotainment units, and Telematics Control Units (TCUs). The plant will also produce 4G and 5G telematics solutions for leading Indian automakers such as Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki.
Serving as a global hub for connected car technologies, HARMAN’s Pune facility plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s vision for smarter, safer, and more connected mobility.
