Electric vehicle maker Ather Energy has raised ₹1,300 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) as part of its larger ₹2,500 crore capital infusion strategy.
The QIP, launched on July 15, witnessed strong participation from leading global and domestic institutional investors, including Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), White Oak, William Blair, HDFC Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund and Edelweiss Mutual Fund.
The company plans to utilise the funds to expand manufacturing capacity, accelerate product development and strengthen its electric vehicle ecosystem. The successful fundraising will provide Ather Energy with additional capital to support its growth plans and enhance its position in India’s fast-growing EV market.
