Sona Comstar’s Next Gear: ₹600 Cr Investment in Robotics & AI

Sona Comstar has announced a capital expenditure plan of ₹500–600 crore for the current financial year, backed by a strong net order book worth ₹24,000 crore. The order pipeline provides significant multi-year revenue visibility, standing at 5.4 times the company's projected FY26 revenue.

A key highlight of this investment cycle is the strategic pivot into emerging tech domains. Group CFO Rohit Nanda confirmed that ₹100–150 crore will be directed specifically into Robotics and Physical AI capabilities, alongside core investments in manufacturing equipment and advanced engineering.

"Our capex this year will be around Rs 500–600 crore. Out of that, around Rs 100–150 crore will go into Robotics and Physical AI," said Nanda.

The strategic allocation balances ongoing capacity expansion in core auto components with targeted entries into high-growth technology markets, positioning Sona Comstar for sustainable long-term expansion domestically and globally.
