Thoothukudi's New Horizon: PM Modi Opens State-of-the-Art Airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed terminal building and the extended runway at Thoothukudi Airport on July 26, 2025.

State BJP president Nainar Nagenthiran highlighted that the upgraded airport now includes night landing facilities and will soon be equipped to handle wide-bodied international flights. He emphasized that this development demonstrates the Central government’s commitment to a “developed Tamil Nadu” through substantial funding for critical infrastructure projects.

It was also noted that Tamil Nadu has been consistently receiving strong support from the Centre for its ongoing development initiatives.
