Suzlon’s ₹10,000 Crore Bet on Andhra Pradesh Wind Energy

Suzlon Group is significantly scaling up its wind energy footprint in Andhra Pradesh with a massive 1,325 MW project portfolio slated for the Rayadurgam Assembly Constituency in the Anantapur district. Backed by a ₹10,000 crore investment, the initiative centers around Govindawada and is projected to generate roughly 4,000 direct and indirect jobs. Further bolstering this growth, AP Minister Nara Lokesh will inaugurate Suzlon’s new S144 blade production lines in Kanekal mandal on August 25, 2026. Having maintained a presence in Anantapur since 2004—including its largest rotor blade facility with a 1,260 MW annual capacity—Suzlon already boasts over 1,700 MW of installed wind capacity in the state and targets an additional 5,000 MW of renewable projects by 2030.
