Jewar Ready to Fly: Aerodrome & Security Clearances Secured

Noida International Airport has received both aerodrome and security clearances, bringing the long-delayed greenfield airport at Jewar closer to the launch of commercial domestic operations after missing several earlier completion deadlines.

On Friday, the airport was granted its aerodrome licence by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), confirming that the facility meets required regulatory standards for operational procedures, safety systems, infrastructure, navigation aids, and emergency response mechanisms.

The approval follows a key clearance issued a day earlier by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), which granted final security approval for domestic passenger operations as well as domestic and international cargo services.

With these clearances in place, the upcoming airport—envisioned as a major aviation hub for the Delhi-National Capital Region—has moved a step closer to starting flight operations.
